Michael Dalman has been practicing law since 2021. His practice focuses on health care litigation, chiefly professional liability defense for physicians, mid-level providers, nursing staff, and facilities. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 2018, then his Juris Doctor from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was a Senior Associate for the Journal of Energy Law & Resources as well as the Executive Vice President of the Student Bar Association. He also served as research assistant to Professor Melissa T. Lonegrass, as an extern in the office of Louisiana’s Solicitor General, and as designated academic tutor for three courses: Legal Traditions & Systems, Sales & Real Estate Transactions, and Constitutional Law I. Michael received the CALI Award for excellence in Legal Research and Writing.
Michael is a member of the Acadiana Inns of Court as well as the LSU Law Dean’s Council and also serves as the President of the Alumni Association of his alma mater, Ascension Episcopal School. He is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and its Medical Malpractice Practice Group. Michael is admitted to practice in the state courts of Louisiana, and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
In their down time, Michael and his wife enjoy cooking, traveling, and watching UL Ragin Cajuns, LSU Tigers, and New Orleans Saints.

Danielle Hebert vs. Louisiana Medical Mutual Ins. Co, et al., 22-136 (La. App. 3 Cir. 10/26/2022) 353 So. 3d 846. Affirmed trial court ruling sustaining defendants’ exceptions of prematurity, finding claims alleging gross negligence or willful misconduct pursuant to the Louisiana Health Emergency Powers Act arise under the Louisiana Medical Malpractice Act and require submission to a medical review panel.
